WEF Walk

The Halloween WEF Walk has become a tradition in Wilmington’s schools. The walk reinforces the Wilmington Public School’s belief in physical activity, healthy eating, nutrition and physical education for all students’ academic success.
Since the first Walk in 2009, this K-5 fitness walk has become the Wilmington Education Foundation’s largest fundraisers. Fundraising dollars support the annual STEM Fair for grades K-8 as well as for funding in the areas of Technology, Curriculum, Educator Exploration and Miscellaneous Grants.
Students, kindergarten through Grade 5, are encouraged to ask family and friends to sponsor them in this walk. They are invited to wear Halloween costumes, favorite sports team shirts, or orange and black colors for the walk. Each school will conduct the walk over two days this year on Thursday and Friday, October 28th and October 29th, 2021 during the school day.
Sponsor sheets are also distributed to students in the beginning of October. Your tax-deductible donations can also be made online by clicking HERE.
