Joanne Benton Grant for Educator's Exploration

The Joanne Benton Grant for Educator's Exploration enables our educators to bring their explorations to the classroom. Formerly called the Fund for Teachers, this grant allows teachers the opportunity to travel and experience the subjects they are teaching to the classroom in a hands-on environment. Experience art, cultures, science exploration, etc. with the goal of bringing what they have learned to the classroom, engaging children and enhancing their learning experience.
Some examples of past grants include Mars Day Camp at Nasa, Google Classroom at Google Headquarters, Maine Ecological Intensive Class, Ceramics study in African tribes, Civil War Battle Visit in Pennsylvania, Charles Dicken's in England, just to name a few.
